Reading Update

(2) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - J.K. Rowling

Well I just finished the final installment in the Harry Potter series. A fitting finish to a great series I would say. I have respect for any author who writes children's books and uses words like, "mollify," "incredulity," and "gormless." I've added mollify to my regular usage. It just rolls so nicely off the tongue!

  1. The first book that I finished for this year was Easy Company Soldier: The Legendary Battles of a Sergeant from World War II's "Band of Brothers". The author lives in Salem and grew up in Astoria. It was such an awesome book. If you plan on reading any war books I would recommend that one for sure! I am always amazed at and grateful for the men who have fought and still fight for our country. It is definitely a subject that touches my heart.

On another note... Eden keeps looking at the picture and saying "Uncle Luke and Melanie" followed by "Uncle Luke's in the house... Melanie's in the house"!
